League News
Although the season has only just started and it is still early days, HRC I have made a good start in the Premier League.  They started with two 9-1 victories over Grundy Park II and HRC II and despite three wins for Martin Nash won 6-4 at current champions Grundy Park I.  Allenburys I are second, having dropped just one point in their opening two matches. HRC II, Grundy Park II and Cheshunt all have just one point, Grundy Park II having played one match less than the other two.

In Division 1, relegated Pramastars I are top, just a point clear of Allenburys II.  The two shared a 5-5 draw, Ian Beaumont winning all three for Allenburys.  New team Peters Bros. have made an encouraging start taking eight points from the top two after a 5-5 draw with Allenburys II and a 7-3 defeat to Pramastars I, Colin Fell unbeaten for the winners.

Stanstead Abbotts lead Division 2 after two contrasting results.  After beating Furneux Pelham 10-0 they went down 8-2 to newcomers Aston, Geoff Gibbs unbeaten on the night including a 14-12 fifth game win over Dick Dixon.  Although only having played one match, Watton-At-Stone may be in for a good season, Steve Block and Ray Calderwood both unbeaten in an 8-2 win at Furneux Pelham who bounced back by beating Aston 7-3, Ian McAllister winning all three.

Divisional Cup News
As you are all aware, due to tragic circumstances, Grundy Park III have withdrawn from both league and cup.  Any matches they played before their withdrawal obviously do not count.  As the divisional cup in each division was split into two groups of three, one pool in Division 1 now consists of two teams, therefore the result of their match determines who advances to the final in December.  A similar situation has occurred in Division 2 with the withdrawal of Cheshunt II at the beginning of the season.
One round only has been played so far, results so far are here on the website.
