Final League Results
( 14-5-2026 )
Although the matches in Division 1 & 2 were completed virtually on time, due to postponements in the Premier Division for various reasons, the final match was played at the end of April.
Water Lane A beat HRC A 6-4 and 9-1 during the season and finished ten points ahead of their rivals to win the Premier Division title and deny HRC A a third successive title. Debutants Ellenborough finished a creditable if distant third. Grundy Park B needed eight points in their last match to overhaul HRC B and move off the bottom but fell one short after defeating Cheshunt A 7-3. As both teams finished on 47 points, rule 20 states that the team with the best head-to-head record will finish ahead. As HRC B won 7-3 and drew 5-5, Grundy Park B were placed last.
Piers Ripley won 20/21 (Zak Layton-Elliot is only conqueror) as Water Lane B finished 11 points clear of Cheshunt C in Division One. HRC D finished at the foot of the table, 16 points behind Pramastars A.
Steve Prince 30/30 and John Hughes 36/39 were the power behind St Andrews A winning the Division Two title, Water Lane C and D second and third respectively. Furneux Pelham and Pramastars B drew both their matches 5-5 as the latter finished three points behind their rivals and were confirmed as the strongest team in the league!
